Conference posters are on display in competitive environments: they have to stand out in order to gain recognition. This workshop shows how to prepare posters that attract attention, communicate research results within seconds and demonstrate scientific competence.

The participants learn
- to accelerate the preparation of their conference posters
- to assess the quality of posters and to improve own posters
- to deliver outstanding poster presentations
PhD students of all disciplines
The workshop is composed of short lectures and extended exercises. Participants evaluate existing posters, draft own posters on their computers and present their drafts to the group. It is a workshop for PhD-candidates with no experience in poster preparation. The main software tool applied in this workshop is Microsoft PowerPoint.
Every participant has to bring a notebook equipped with Microsoft PowerPoint or another software application for poster preparation. Examples of conference posters (print or digital) are welcome.
